Probably B. If it's to protect, the animal sounds like it was going to die off by 1972.

Answer:

Option B, Scientists monitored and observed the decline of marine mammal populations in the world's oceans.

Explanation:

The Marine Mammal Protection Act in 1972 was enacted with the motive of preserving the oceanic mammal species whose count has been reducing year on year. Thus, option B is correct

Option A cannot be correct as decrease in death rates of oceanic mammals will increase their population ultimately which in no case is a matter of concern due to which an act is required to bring in regulatory norms  for preserving any animal species.

Alexandra [31]

The third and last option is correct.

Species in the past (referring to dinosaurs) were more massive.

\bf~CO_{2} levels where higher in the past, which meant that plants prospered during that time since they had a easy access to food. That contributes to the fact that herbivores could grow bigger because there was more food. Which in turn, increases the size of early carnivores which eat bigger herbivores.

Hope it helped,

What do parasitism, predation, and commensalism have in common? How are they different?
luda_lava [24]
Symbiosis is the ecological relationship between two or more organisms living closely together with some form of feeding relationship involved. The three main symbiotic relationships are: - Mutualism, where both organisms benefit. - Commensalism, where one organism benefits while the other organism is not harmed. All of them thrive off of the other organism.

Hydrothermal vents are often rich in metals, such as copper, and also host dense populations of marine organisms. Which of the f
nydimaria [60]

The answer is copper. Nonrenewable resources are those that cannot be readily/naturally replaced at rates that match those of consumption (an aspect that allow renewable resources to be sustainable). Copper are made deep in earth at very slow rates hence do not readily renew themselves. Organisms, on the other hand die, and are naturally replaced by offspring.

Primary growth or lengthening of plants results from mitotic division in cells of which tissue?
Lesechka [4]
Primary growth or lengthening of plants results from mitotic division in cells of the apical meristem tissue. The apical meristem can be found in the top of plants. When the plant divides, it helps to lengthen it. The correct choice is C.
