Would a sanctimonious person be more or less likely to engage in civil disobedience? Explain.
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

A sanctimonious person is more likely to engage in civil disobedience movement.

Explanation:

Defining sanctimonious as an adjective implies putting up a big show about how the cause of an individual is superior and better than others.although the word inscribes some negative elements. but the quality of an individual with this behavior helps to provide for support against the unjust laws. Being vocal about the cause and generating a positive opinion for it can help civil disobedience movement to wider its reach. However, the argument is open to different interpretations.

What is the author’s likely purpose for including John Watson’s 1974 and Dr. Bandura’s 1975 experiments? Consider how the ideas
vladimir1956 [14]

I believe the correct answer is: to support the article’s and Zimbardo’s argument regarding the influence of social conditions on behavior.

In the article “What makes good people do bad things?”, Melissa Dittmann purposely included John Watson’s 1974 and Dr. Bandura’s 1975 experiments to support hers and professor’s Phillip Zimbardo’s opinion that social conditions influence behavior. Their experiments illustrate that people are more aggressive if they stay anonymous, but are on their best behavior if they know that they will be punished (being called “animals”).

B) why is vivid imagery particularly important in a compressed form such as poetry? (5 points)
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Imagery is especially important in poetry because of its compressed form. This means that poems tend to be short (compressed), unlike prose, which is written using sentences. Since poems are so short by nature, poets try to use as few words as possible to describe their thoughts and feelings.

This is where imagery comes into play - imagery refers to the use of very few, and very descriptive words to convey an idea. Instead of using lengthy sentences to describe something, this could be done in poetry using just a few vivid words which clearly paint a picture in our mind. This is done to shorten the length of a poem, while also keeping all relevant information.
