In the redox reactions of cellular respiration, a cell uses both glucose and oxygen in order to carry out the process. There are several distinct stages of respiration and the end result is adenosine triphosphate (ATP) which can be used to produce energy within the cell. In addition, the waste products water and carbon dioxide are produced.
