If a plant has a mutation and cannot produce Casparian strips, what process won't it be able to do?
k0ka [10]

If a plant has no Casparian strips, it will not be able to control the amount of water it absorbs and solutes. Casparian strips regulate the amount of water that gets to the xylem. Without it, a plant won’t be able to control the amount of water going to the xylem.

Electrophysiological studies of rats learning T-mazes have found _________.a. different patterns of activation in the basal gang
Solnce55 [7]

Electrophysiological studies of rats learning T-mazes have found a. different patterns of activation in the basal ganglia during early learning and later stable performance

Explanation:

  • Forced alternation and left-right discrimination tasks using the T-maze have been widely used to assess working and reference memory, respectively, in rodents.
  • Basal ganglia are strongly interconnected with the cerebral cortex, thalamus, and brainstem, as well as several other brain areas. The basal ganglia are associated with a variety of functions, including control of voluntary motor movements, procedural learning, habit learning, eye movements, cognition, and emotion.
  • The direct pathway, sometimes known as the direct pathway of movement, is a neural pathway within the central nervous system (CNS) through the basal ganglia which facilitates the initiation and execution of voluntary movement.
  • Damage to the basal ganglia cells may cause problems controlling speech, movement, and posture. This combination of symptoms is called parkinsonism. A person with basal ganglia dysfunction may have difficulty starting, stopping, or sustaining movement.

List three reasons why biodiverstiy conservation is important
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

The result of loss of topsoil are loss in fertility of soil, loss of water, crop production and hardened soil surface. Therefore, the correct answer to the above question is option A, B, C and D.

Explanation:

When there is a loss of top layer of soil from the earth by any means, natural or artificial, it is known as soil erosion. The soil from one place gets detached and is transported to another area. Planting more and more trees is the one of the way to stop soil erosion as the roots of the plants hold the soil.

When the soil from area is removed there is a loss of production in crop due to various reasons. The most fertile part of the soil occurs in the uppermost part.  Therefore, its removal has negative impact.
