A selfless person is an individual that places others needs above their own.

Synonym: Unselfish

Antonym: Selfish

Examples:

A mother placing her childs needs above her own.
A doctor performing surgery for free despite not gaining money.
A cop working overtime to protect the citizens.
A student picking another student's trash after lunch.

number 4 can be easily related to current event as the BLM movement is trying to destroy monuments and remove the history of slavery from our school textbooks, if there's no history to learn from, we will not learn from our mistakes and we will make them again
