An independent variable is a variable that represents a quantity that is being controlled  in an experiment.

A dependent variable represents a quantity whose value depends on how the independent variable is controlled.

In the given question number of cars represents the independent variable while money raised represents independent variable .Domain is the set of values the independent variable can take .The number of cars 30 to 100 represents the Domain.The range is corresponding y values .The charge per car is $20.

Range = 30x20=600 to 100x20=2000.

Option A: number of cars; money raised; 30 to 100 cars; $600 to $2000 is the right option.

What is the distance between (9,-4) and (-22, 8)?
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

≈ 33.2 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the distance d using the distance formula

d = \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2+(y_{2}-y_{1})^2    }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (9, - 4) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 22, 8)

d = \sqrt{(-22-9)^2+(8+4)^2}

   = \sqrt{(-31)^2+12^2}

   = \sqrt{961+144}

    = \sqrt{1105} ≈ 33.2 ( to 1 dec. place )
