Let them two equal sides be y

From Pythagoras principle we get

(hypotenuse)^2=(opposite)^2+(adjacent)^2

1^2=y^2+y^2

1x1=2y^2

1=2y^2

Divide both sides by 2

1/2=2y^2/2

1/2=y^2

Take them square root of both sides

√(1/2)=√(y^2)

1/√2=y

y=1/√2

Therefore they other sides are 1/√2 each
