Goshia [24]

Answer: This is an exaple of goal displacement.

Explanation:

Goal displacement is a situation where organizations replace their original goal for an alternative one. The new goal often is in the interest of the organization members. The objective of this goal displacement is to ensure the organization's prosperity and continuity.

In this case, the members of Jane's organization chose another goal (rescuing potbelly pigs) instead of losing their jobs after the initial goal (rescuing bunnies) was accomplished.

igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

D. Mass extinction events separate the three eras from each other

Explanation:

The Phanerozoic represents an eon, and it is the most recent one. It is further divided into three eras, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic. The division between the tree eras is because of mass extinction events. The Paleozoic and Mesozoic era are divided by the Permian-Triassic mass extinctions. The Mesozoic and Cenozoic are divided by the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction. The Cenozoic era is still in existence, as there hasn't been a mass extinction of a magnitude big enough so far.

Humans have a well defined range of pH tolerance; 7.35-7.45. In the context of molecules and macromolecules, what effects might
Evgen [1.6K]
Hello
The pH range of tolerance for humans is well defined and very small for a number of reasons.
First, we must understand that all biological reactions in our body are carried out by biological catalysts called enzymes. These enzymes operate under specific pH and and temperature conditions. Deviation from these conditions will result in inefficiency of the enzymes' functions. This may be observed macroscopic-ally as poor digestion among other things.
Next, an equilibrium is necessary for the movement of CO2 in red blood cells. CO2 is kept in equilibrium in the form of carbonic acid. This equilibrium may be disturbed by the change in pH; resulting in a difficulty to breathe.
Other effects such as fatigue, headaches and nausea may also be observed as the blood circulates throughout your body and its functions will be impaired by the changed pH.
