Sliva [168]

The senior nurse finds that a novice nurse is using leadership activities in a health care facility. Encouraging and developing the leadership of the new nurse action of the senior nurse indicates effective leading ability.

Effective leadership is responsible for creating an effective workplace, so leadership success is an important consideration. This can be achieved by nurturing and developing the new caregiver's leadership skills and supporting current leaders in effectively performing their roles. Disappointing new nurses do not lead to leadership succession and impact organizational growth.

Therefore, actions such as asking a caregiver to leave leadership activities immediately or to act as a leader after the primary caregiver has retired are not indicative of effective leadership. There is none.

What is the relationship between self-fulfilling prophecy and adolescent moodiness?
Svetlanka [38]

Expectations for adolescent conduct are influenced by self-fulfilling prophecy. Teenagers are classified as moody, informed they will be gloomy, and treated accordingly. These social factors help to create a self-fulfilling prophecy that results in moodiness that otherwise might not have existed.

In order to determine the long-term drivers of unsatisfactory self-reported social functioning, researchers looked at adolescents' unfavorable social expectations of their peers. It was expected that early teenage negative expectations would predict risk-averse behavior in late adolescence, which would eventually help reinforce those beliefs. With the aid of observational data, friend- and self-reports from a community sample of184 teenagers followed from25 to25, it was discovered that teenagers with more unfavorable expectations gradually became more submissive with their friends and were rated as less romantically alluring by late adolescence (after controlling for baseline levels of these variables, baseline friend-rated social competence and self-reported depressive symptoms). Submissiveness and romantic attraction also mediated the association between impaired self-reported social functioning in adults and teenage negative expectancies.
