Answer:

L = 17 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the volume of a rect. prism of length L, width W and height H is V = L*W*H.  Here we are given certain values (W and H) and are asked to find the third value (L).

Solving V = L*W*H for L, we get

         V

L = ----------

       W*H

Subst. 2830.5 m³ for V, 18.5 m for W and 9 m for H.  This results in:

       2830.5 m³

L = -------------------- = 17 m

      (18.5 m)(9 m)

The length of this prism is 17 m.

In looking at it I would guess it is asking which of the points is on the line? To answer that you would have to take each point an plug it into the equation and see if it is true.

3x - 7 = y

A(9,20)
3(9) - 7 = 20
27 - 7 = 20
20 = 20 True - this point is on the line

B(5,0)
3(5) - 7 = 0
15 - 7 = 0
8 = 0 False - this point is not on the line

C(3,2)
3(3) - 7 = 2
9 - 7 = 2
2 = 2  True - this point is on the line

I hope this helps

joanne cannot decide which of two washing machines to buy. The selling price of each is $660. The first is marked down by 40%.
Alexxx [7]

Answer: The first machine would cost $420

and the second machine would cost $432

you should buy the first machine

Step-by-step explanation:If you get a 30% discount, then you are paying 70% of the selling price.

Machine 1:  600(.70) = 420

Machine 2:  A 10% discount means you pay 90%

600(.90) = 540   But now you get a 20% discount on that amount, which means you would pay 80%

So, 540(.80) = 432
