One event that I think contributed to the victory of the American Colonies was that the British soldiers were fighting because it was their job while the American soldiers were fighting for freedom they have something to fight for. Another event that I think made the American Colonies win was they had help from another European Superpower, France which helped them win.

2) His confidence gave the nation hope. - Roosevelt's New Deal promoted a sense of positivity in American society. In this program, he was aiming to give direct financial assistance to American citizens in order to help them through the Great Depression.
3) He was affected with polio.- Roosevelt was diagnosed with this in his late 30's and lost the ability to walk due to the disease.
