Answer:

Coroline bakes 12 dozens of cookies in all.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Caroline baked 3 dozen oatmeal raisin cookies for the bake sale at school. This is one fourth the number of dozens of cookies she baked in all.

We have to find the number of dozen cookies she bake in all.

Note: 1 dozen = 12

So, Caroline baked 3 dozen oatmeal raisin cookies for the bake sale at school this means she bakes 12 × 3 = 36 oatmeal raisin cookies.

Also, given Number of oatmeal raisin cookies is one fourth the number of dozens of cookies she baked in all.

This means , 36=\frac{1}{4} \times {\text{Total number of cookies she bake}}

Let the number of cookies she bakes be x .

that is,   36=\frac{1}{4} \times x

Solve for x,  We get

x = 144

Thus, number of  cookies did she bake in all is 144.

Since we have to find in dozen divide 144 by 12 , we get, x = 12

Thus, Coroline bakes 12 dozens of cookies in all.

Emily thinks the perfect tomato sauce has 8 cloves of garlic in every 500{ mL} of sauce. Raphael's tomato sauce has 12 cloves of
igomit [66]

For perfect solution we need to have :-  8 colves   in 500ml    solution

500   ml     has   8 cloves

1 ml             has     8 / 500 cloves

100ml         has   8 / 500  * 100  =    8/5  = 1.6 cloves

Raphael's mixture

    900 ml  has 12 cloves

      1 ml     has   12 / 900 cloves

   100 ml has   12 / 900 *  100   =    12 / 9  =   1.33 cloves

so concentration of garlic in 100 ml solution of Raphael's solution is less than Emily's solution    so it is not garlicky enough.     ( option B)

The dimensions of a triangular prism are shown.
Serhud [2]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  B.  32 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Each of the two triangular faces has an area of ...

  A = (1/2)bh = (1//2)(6 in)(4 in) = 12 in²

The lateral surface area is the product of the prism height (0.5 in) and the perimeter of the base.

  LA = (0.5 in)(5 in +5 in + 6 in) = 8 in²

So, the total area is the area of the two base and the lateral area:

  SA = 2A +LA

  SA = 2(12 in²) +8 in² = 32 in²

The surface area of the prism is 32 square inches.
