Answer:

Complex brain.

Explanation:

The cranial capacity of Homo sapiens are responsible for their successful adaptation on earth. They have the cranial capacity of around 1400cc.

The major environmental conditions has changed but the complex human brain has helped him to sustain and understanding the nature. Humans are successful to sustain on this earth due to their complex brain.

Coaches will often urge athletes to exercise when they have a cold or other infection. What is the immunological reasoning behin
damaskus [11]

Exercise is the primary advice the coaches give to the athletes if they get a cold or any other infection. The main reason behind this advice is the fact that exercising strengthens the immunity of a person. When a person has an infection, the strengthening of the immune system will help his body to efficiently fight against the infectious pathogens. The blood circulation is increased which is involved in the enhancement of the acute immunity of the person.

The Brazil nut tree, Bertholletia excels (n = 17), is native to tropical rain forests of South America. It is a hardwood tree th
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

Answer is option A.

Orchid bees are to Brazil nut trees as breezes are to pine trees.

Explanation:

In Brazil nut trees, the female orchid bees act as pollinators that help in pollination. In pine trees, wind or breeze helps in pollination.

Pine trees are gymnosperms and so they do not have flowers to attract pollinators like bees or butterflies or birds. They are wind-pollinated. Pine trees are monoecious i.e., both male and female reproductive structures (pine cones) are present on the same tree.

The male cones (catkins) produce pollen grains that are lightweight, less sticky and have air bladders or small wing-like structures. As a result of these features, the pollen grains can be easily carried and dispersed by the breeze. In order to prevent self pollination (pollen falling on the female cones of the same tree), the male cones are normally located on the lower branches of the pine tree.

The female cones are located on the upper branches of the tree and the center of the cone contains eggs or ovules. The pollen grains that are carried by the wind, fall on the female cone of another pine tree. Each pollen grain grows a pollen tube into the center of the cone and the nucleus cell of the pollen travels through the tube and reaches the egg, where it combines with the egg to form an embryo. The embryo eventually grows into a seed. The seeds of pine trees are then dispersed by wind or animals such as squirrels.

Why does diversity increase as height above land increases
wolverine [178]

Biodiversity rises with altitude initially before falling with height beyond that. Up until it reaches a diversity peak at about 1 300 to 1 800 m.

  • The biodiversity increases at higher geographical locations because There are more hiding locations. They are better for crop growth. They frequently include more than one kind of habitat.
  • As latitude or altitude change, so does biodiversity. As we descend from high to low elevations, the diversity increases (i.e., from poles to equator).
  • While the environment is harsh and plants have a brief growing season in the temperate region, tropical rain forests provide year-round growth-friendly circumstances.
  • This enables the emergence and expansion of several species. On a mountain, there is an initial increase in species diversity after which there is a decline in species variety as you go up in elevation.
  • At higher elevations, temperature drops and seasonal variations increase, which significantly diminishes.
