Answer:

(1) The Pampas and (2) The Patagonia

Explanation:

The Pampas are the extensive flatlands that are abundant and highly fertile area surrounding the Buenos Aires. It forms a grassland biome. The climate here is warm and humidity is high. It covers an area of about 780,000 sq. km, i.e. the area between the Atlantic ocean and the Andes Mountain. Some of the animals found in these flatlands area are bush dogs, foxes and various other bird species.

The Patagonia grasslands are the small region located in the southern part of Chile and Argentina. This region is highly rich in the animal species and various other endemic bird species.  This area mainly occupies the low terrain mountains, along with some plains and plateaus. The soil here is highly rich in organic material and the average rainfall in this region is between 300 to 400 millimetres every year. Due to the overgrazing by sheep, these grasslands are affected. Some animals found in this region are foxes, patagonian mara and guanaco.

Which best describes radiometric dating?
DIA [1.3K]

The answer is; B

Rocks have naturally occurring and spontaneously radioactive atoms in them, such as carbon-14. These element isotopes decay into other types of atoms over millions of years. Therefore, by measuring the amount of these radiometric substances, and knowing the half-life of the isotopes, it is possible to postulate the age of a rock to within certain ranges of error.

damaskus [11]

Answer:

c) Both are functions of blood, that is, to carry oxygen to  the cells and also remove wastes from the body.

Explanation:

Blood is a form  of connective  tissue and is made up of red blood cells,  white blood cells, platelets and blood plasma. The red blood cells contains a metallo-protein structure known as hemoglobin. This hemoglobin binds to the oxygen and carry them to the cells and the tissues for proper functioning of them. The waste products like carbon dioxide is carried by the blood from the body tissues to expel it out from the body.
