The WW1 affected the African Americans because they did not have a place to seek shelter. They were all in slavery and didn’t have the money to buy shelter or food. Many African Americans died during WW1 because of that cause.

Match the following. Moses / David / Joseph1. rejected by Saul; wandered in exile: 2. rejected by Israelites; lived in exile: 3.
Blizzard [7]

Answer: Numbers 1 and 5, David.

Numbers 2 and 4, Moses.

Numbers 3 and 6, Joseph.

Explanation: David became popular after killing the giant Goliath and jealous King Saul attempted to kill him a few times unsuccessfully. David had to flee into the wilderness for safety but after Saul died in battle, David was exalted to the position of the next King of Israel.

Moses' attempt at liberating his people from slavery (including killing an Egyptian) further incurred Pharaoh's wrath and Moses had to flee when his own people condemned his action in their defence. He was eventually called while in exile to return to Egypt for the purpose of leading his people out of slavery and hence became their leader for the next few years.

Joseph was rejected and despised by his jealous brothers and they sold him off into slavery. It was while he was in prison as a slave that he was divinely blessed with the wisdom to interprete dreams and as a reward for interpreting Pharoah's dream, he was appointed as a ruler second in command to Pharaoh.

Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

The Aztec culture from Central Mexico usually is the one associated with human sacrifice, but that’s probably because Spanish chroniclers were there to witness it. The Maya were just as bloodthirsty when it came to feeding their gods. The Maya city-states fought frequently with one another and many enemy warriors were taken captive. These captives were usually enslaved or sacrificed. High-level captives such as nobles or kings were forced to play in the ceremonial ball game against their captors, re-enacting the battle they lost. After the game, the outcome of which was predetermined to reflect the battle it represented, the captives were ritually sacrificed.
