If a probation office records the exact time that a probationer reports in, is the variable that is based on that information di
Yuliya22 [10]

The variable that records the exact time at which each probationer has arrived is a continuous variable.

When a variable is continuous, it means that there is an infinite number of possible values. Times are measured by decimal numbers with can present infinit values because, for instance, one subject might arrive at 2pm 30min 24,01 seconds and the following at 2pm 30min 24,00001 seconds.

One the other hand, a finite number of values is available in discrete variables. For example, a variable measuring the gender of the subjects is discrete because it contains only two possible values: man/woman.

You are preparing to drive a pick-up truck. The Florida seat belt law requires you to properly fasten your seat belt
iragen [17]

That statement is true.

The seat belt is the main safety component of four-wheelers, such as pickup trucks. It is one of the main allies of drivers and passengers in the prevention of serious traffic accidents and, consequently, in the preservation of life.

Each state has the power to legislate on what matters in its territory, but the seat belt is usually a standard safety requirement. In the state of Florida, there has been a law enforcement seat belt since 2009, which means that police can intercept any vehicle in which driver or passengers are caught without a seat belt.
