Read this excerpt from "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell. The general's eyes had left the ground and were traveling i

nch by inch up the tree. Rainsford froze there, every muscle tensed for a spring. But the sharp eyes of the hunter stopped before they reached the limb where Rainsford lay; a smile spread over his brown face. Very deliberately he blew a smoke ring into the air; then he turned his back on the tree and walked carelessly away, back along the trail he had come. The swish of the underbrush against his hunting boots grew fainter and fainter. What can be inferred from the general's behavior in the excerpt?

#3 . He figured out Rainsford was atop the tree.

The general is a person who enjoys the hunt, so I'm sure he left Rainsford there so he could continue on tomorrow . It would make the game more challenging and he lives for the challenge.

kirill [66]
If school decided to get rid of all rules then I think everything will potentially turn to chaos as there isn’t any model or footsteps to follow. Children have a curious mind and want to explore more day by day. By no rules or guidance put in place, children can easily get lost and create their own sets of behaviors and morals. Also, students are not capable yet to follow instructions and maintain peace during classroom instructions yet. Complete freedom for children might also lead to severe actions like harassment and bullying.
