Gone are the days when businesses only had to respond to shareholders. Today’s consumers expect more of their companies, and one of those things they expect is more community involvement.

But what is community participation? The answer is that it can be anything from sponsoring a road race to arranging opportunities for employees to volunteer to build low-income homes and more. For one example, you can see how SiamMandalay involves with the local community. This company, which makes wooden puzzles and traditional games, showed how much it cares for kids by arranging a special safari night out for the children of Baan Dek Dee orphanage. SiamMandalay partnered with two other companies, Aware Corporation, and Chiang Mai Night Safari, and working with other businesses is another good way to increase community involvement as well as create experiences that a single company might not be able to do alone. Finally, Siam Mandalay announced that it was donating a portion of its Christmas online sales to the orphanage. All of these actions raised the profile of SiamMandalay in an area where its presence was relevant: working with children

What is the main inference that can be drawn from Jean Jacques Rousseau’s book The Social Contract?
maw [93]

Answer:

B.People are bound by a social contract to respect each other’s freedom and refrain from harming others.

Explanation:

The social contract by Jean Jacques Rousseau, states that all humans resign to some freedom in order to assure the well being of the society and the whole instead of searching for the own liberty and own selfish freedom, in this way Rousseau states that the society is better organized when every person resigns to those freedoms and is organized in governments and legislatures.

Now that the Civil War is over and Lincoln has been assassinated, what should be done with the South/Confederacy?
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

Lincoln never laid out a specific plan for reconstruction. Still, if he had lived, all the evidence points us toward four paths to reconstruction which he would likely have adopted: Voting rights, Economic integration, Western development, Cleaning the Confederate slate. Bear in mind, though, that whatever Lincoln’s intentions, he would have faced stiff opposition. Even Abraham Lincoln might not have been able to bulldoze his way to a triumphant “Mission Accomplished.” But it is hard to imagine how we could have done worse. One hundred and fifty years later, we are still struggling to do better.

How did early Christians organize the church?
Aliun [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

miskamm [114]
Here is information that will help you to answer this question on your own.

1) Author- Taking into consideration the author of the website is a way to determine bias. For example, if the website/article is created by a person who is a well known advocate for a specific political party, you can assume that they have a bias.

2) Sources- The sources that a website uses are critical to determine whether or not it is bias. If the website only cites other sources with a similar view, you can assume their is some bias.

3) Source of funding- If a website is sponsored by an organization, there is most likely bias. This is because without funding, many websites would not exist.
