More men were able to be pushed towards roles that needed to be filled, women pitching into the war effort gave us a great advantage because there was more man power (nearly more than half before) and men could do jobs that men at the time could only do instead of spreading the roles thin

The ships were then prepared to get them thoroughly cleaned, drained, and loaded with export goods for a return voyage, the third leg, to their home port,[4] from the West Indies the main export cargoes were sugar, rum, and molasses; from Virginia, tobacco and hemp.
