Let's consider a number 25.83  to be added by 3.2. Now in the 25.83, 2 is tens place and 5 at one's place. 8 is at the tenths place and 3 is at the hundredths place. In 3.2, 3 is one's place and 2 is at tenth's place. Now while adding we need to make sure we add similar things. Like tens with tens, ones with ones & hundredths with hundredths. (idk what this word is) to keep similar places together to get added, we line up we line up decimals first as all places are with (idk) to the decimal (same word as the one above i think) addition will be.

25.83+3.2=29.03 ans

I think that's what it says. Hopefully this helps, I'll try to figure out what those other words are it might take a second. I'll edit or comment if I figure it out.

Let's consider a number 25 · 83 to be added by 3 · 2.

Now in 25 · 83, 2 is tens place 5 at one's place. 8 is at tenths place & 3 is at hundredths place. In 3 · 2, 3 is ones place & 2 is at tenths place. Now while adding we need to make sure we add all similar things, like tens with tens, ones with ones & hundredths with hundredths. Hence to keep similar places together to get added, we line up decimals first as all places are with reference to the decimal. Hence addition will be:

Consider the differential equation dy/dx= e^x-1/2y. If y = 4 when x = 0 what is a value of y when x = 1?
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

A. √(e + 14)

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{dy}{dx} = \frac{e^{x} - 1}{2y}

separating the variables, we have

2ydy = (e^{x} - 1)dx

integrating, we have

∫ydy = ∫(e^{x} - 1)dx

∫ydy = ∫e^{x}dx - ∫1dx + C

2y²/2 = e^{x} - x + C

y² = e^{x} - x + C

when x = 0, y = 4

So,

y² = e^{x} - x + C

4² = e^{0} - 0 + C

16 = 1 + C

16 = 1 + C

C = 16 - 1

C = 15

So,

y² = e^{x} - x + 15

when x = 1, we find y

y² = e^{1} - 1 + 15

y² = e + 14

y = √(e + 14)
