Answer with explanation:

The system of equation are

1. → x²+y²=6

2. →x² -y=6

Subtracting Equation (2) from equation (1)

→ x²+y² -(x² -y)=6-6

 →y²+y=0

→ y × (y+1)=0

→ y=0 ∧ y+1=0

→ y=0 ∧ y = -1

y=0 gives means,by substituting value of y in equation 2,

→ x² -0=6

→ x²=6

→ x =√6 ∧ x= -√6

Solution Set is =(√6, 0) ,(-√6, 0)

y= -1 gives

→ x² - (-1)=6

→ x²=6 -1

→ x²=5

→x = √5, ∧ x= -√5

Solution Set is =(√6, 0) ,(-√6, 0), (√5, 0) ,(-√5, 0)

Find an equation of the circle that has center (-1,6) and passes through (-6,1)
horsena [70]

Answer:

(x + 1)² + (y - 6)² = 50

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle in standard form is

(x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

where (h, k) are the coordinates of the centre and r is the radius.

The radius is the distance from the centre to a point on the circle.

Calculate r using the distance formula

r = \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2+(y_{2}-y_{1})^2    }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 1, 6) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 6, 1)

r = \sqrt{(-6+1)^2+(1-6)^2}

  = \sqrt{(-5)^2+(-5)^2}

  = \sqrt{25+25}

  = \sqrt{50}

(h, k ) = (- 1, 6 ), then

(x - (- 1))² + (y - 6)² = (\sqrt{50} )² , that is

(x + 1)² + (y - 6)² = 50 ← equation of circle

Evaluate the function for values of x that approach 1 from the left and from the right. f(x) = 7 x3 − 1
Naily [24]
In the table shown you can see the values for the function when it approaches zero, from the right and from the left. In the graph you can notice that the function tends to -1 for values close to 0 (both from the right and from the left), as might be expected from a function that cuts the "y" axis at -1.
