According to question,

So, we can write it as,

⇛ 1/x + 1/x + 2 = 3/4

⇛ x + 2 + x / x(x + 2) = 3/4

⇛ 2x + 2 / x² + 2x = 3/4

Cross multiplying,

⇛ 3(x² + 2x) = 4(2x + 2)

⇛ 3x² + 6x = 8x + 8

⇛ 3x² - 2x - 8 = 0

⇛ 3x² - 6x + 4x - 8 = 0

⇛ 3x(x - 2) + 4(x - 2) = 0

⇛ (3x + 4)(x - 2) = 0

Then, x = -4/3 or 2
