Answer:

Hence, When the demand exceeds supply , The shortage occurs.

Step-by-step explanation:

When the demand exceeds the supply then it results in the shortage of the particular product.

The demand exceeds only when the prices are much lower as compared to previous price of the product. So, when the prices are lower all the people want to buy the products on a high scale thus giving a high increase in the demand of the product.

And the the demand for any product increases very suddenly then the supply cannot meet the requirements of the demand and as a result the shortage of the product occurs.

Also, When the shortage occurs with a high demand the prices for the product increases rapidly in order to minimize the demand of the people and thereafter it can meet the demands of the people.

Hence, When the demand exceeds supply , The shortage occurs.

What is the discriminant of the polynomial 4x^2 - 20 x + 25 ?
Zarrin [17]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

0

Discussion:

For the quadratic ax^2 + b^x + c, the discriminant is b^2 - 4ac. In our case, the discriminant is

(-20)^2 - 4 (4)(25) =

400 - 4 (100) =

0

(This means the polynomial has a duplicate root. In fact it factors as (2x-5)^2 ).

Thank you,

(30/ If the surface of a lake represents a plane, what geometric
beks73 [17]

Answer:

  • A point

Explanation:

The surface of a lake represents a plane because it extends in all directions at the same level. Imagine it as a quite surface, without imperfections, smooth and perfectly plane, it is a two-dimensional figure.

A fishing line that enters into the water, crossing the lake's surface, representes a line, which may be either perpendicular or leaned.

Thus the intersection of those two figures is a point.

A surface and a line that is not included in the plane and is not parallel to it will meet at a single point, which is what is represented by the situation stated.

adoni [48]

Answer:

a. 8 outcomes

b. Discrete Variable

c. See explanation below

Step-by-step explanation:

a.

Let N = No Offers made

Let Y = Offers made

The Expected outcome are as follows:

NNN, NNY, NYN, YNN, NYY, YNY, YYN, YYY

= 8

b.

Let x = number of offers made

X is said to be discrete if x can take values that are restricted to a defined or limited values

X is said to be continuous if x can take a range of values that is not restricted to any range(i.e. continuous)

Looking at the brief description above, we can conclude that x is discrete

c.

NNN, 0

NNY, 1

NYN, 1

YNN, 1

NYY, 2

YNY, 2

YYN, 2

YYY, 3

Where 0 to 3 represents number of offers at every instance
