Answer:

Electromagnetic spectrum consists of range of waves having different frequencies and energy. It consists of photons of all energies. A series of high energy gamma rays to low energy microwaves forms electromagnetic spectrum. The spectrum contains waves in increasing order of the their frequency and decreasing wavelength.

Membrane walls of living cells have surprisingly large electric fields across them due to separation of ions. (Membranes are dis
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

Voltage, V = 0.0524 volts

Explanation:

Thickness of the membrane, d=7.95\ nm=7.95\times 10^{-9}\ m

Electric field strength, E=6.6\ MV/m=6.6\times 10^6\ V/m

We need to find the voltage across it. The relationship between the voltage, electric field and the distance is given by :

V=E\times d

V=6.6\times 10^6\ V/m\times 7.95\times 10^{-9}

V = 0.0524 volts

So, the voltage across the thick membrane is 0.0524 volts. Hence, this is the required solution.

A short ramp and a long ramp each reach a height of 1 m. Which
Pavel [41]

Answer:

he longer ramp has more mechanical advantage for it requires less force to push up a mass while being over a longer period of time. Its called Mechanical Advantage because say you had to lift a car up 1-meter. you cannot simply pick it up, but over a long enough slope you would be able to because you can apply a small force over a longer distance
