Answer:

224 smaller cards

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of sheet Aimi has = 34

Number of closest friend of Aimi  = 6

Aimi will give one full sheet of paper for making cards for each of her closest friend.

Therefore, number of sheets left = 34 - 6

                                                       = 28

It is given that 1/8 of sheet of paper will be use for her other classmates.

∴From 1 full sheet, 8 cards can be made.

∴ From 28 full sheets , 8 x 28 = 224 cards can be made.

Thus, 224 smaller cards can be made.

Six of her friends will have big cards. 34 - 6 = 28 pieces left. 1 page can make 8 peoples cards. 8 * 28 = 224 small cards. 224 + 6 = 230 total cards

The ratio of girls to boys at soccer practice is 3:4. If on Saturday there will be a total of 42 players, how many boys will be
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

Boys = 24

Girls = 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

G:B= 3:4

Total = 42

Required

Determine the number of boys and girls

We have to convert the ratio to fraction;

Number of girls can be calculated as:

Girls = \frac{G}{G + B} * Total

Girls = \frac{3}{3 + 4} * 42

Girls = \frac{3}{7} * 42

Girls = 3 * 6

Girls = 18

Boys = Total - Girls

Boys = 42 - 18

Boys = 24
