Explanation:

As is known, seawater is a solution, since it contains salts in solution, which is directly proportional to density. Another influential factor in seawater density is temperature, since if there is an increase in seawater temperature, the density will decrease and the colder the water (lower temperature), the water will be more dense. Temperature has a greater effect on seawater density than salinity because water with a higher degree of salinity can float on water with a lower degree of salinity, depending on whether the layer with more salinity is at a higher temperature than the layer with a lower degree of salinity.
