What is the "Truman Doctrine" about?  What are the benefits of the "Marshall Plan" for Europe?

Answer:

The Truman doctrine was a doctrine put in place to try and stop the the Soviet Union from expanding. America did not want communism to spread so this doctrine was to try and prevent the Soviet Union from spreading communism. the Marshall plan benefitted Europe since it revived their economies and controlled inflation. it also helped trade start up again.

One thing that happened was that the Ottomans decided on slaughtering most of the current aristocracy that was in place before they came - which was logical for them as they didn't want the previous monarchs to interfere with their rule. On the other hand they treated farmers better and they had more rights than before. They could also marry between religions if they wanted to. They also had the same cultural rights as before.
