SERIOUSLY NEED HELP WITH THIS QUESTION.
Ann [662]
The answer is 1000 cubic feet either. The reason for that is fallowing:
Imagine you cut cube 2 peaces so that your cut is normal to bases and it passes throught both bases. If you take those 2 pieces and switch their position and stick one to another you will get non tilted original cube.

what you can conclude from this is that tilting doesnt influence volume if bases and height remain the same.

10| x – 4| - 3 > 47
Andrew [12]

Answer:

x < -1    or    x > 9

Step-by-step explanation:

10|x-4|-3>47

Add 3 to both sides.

10|x-4|-3+3>47+3

Simplify.

10|x-4|>50

Divide both sides by 10.

\frac{10|x-4|}{10} >\frac{50}{10}

Simplify.

|x-4|>5

Apply absolute value rule: If |u|>a,a>0 then u < -a or u>a

x-4 or x-4 >5

x-4

Add 4 to both sides.

x-4+4

Simplify.

x

x-4>5

Add 4 to both sides.

x-4+4>5+4

Simplify.

x>9

Combine the intervals.

x or x>9

Which of the following are valid (necessarily true) sentences? a. (∃x x = x) ⇒ (∀ y ∃z y = z). b. ∀ x P(x) ∨ ¬P(x). c. ∀ x Smart
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

b; ∀x   P(x) ∨ ¬P(x)

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose that we have a proposition p

Such that p can be true or false.

We can define the negation of p as:

¬p

Such that, if p is false, then ¬p is true

if p is true, then ¬p is false.

Also remember that a proposition like:

p ∨ q

is true when, at least one, p or q, is true.

Then if we write:

p ∨ ¬p

Always one of these will be true (and the other false)

Then the statement is true.

And if the statement depends on some variable, then we will have that:

p(x) ∨ ¬p(x)

is true for all the allowed values of x.

from this, we can conclude that the statement that is always true is:

b; ∀x   P(x) ∨ ¬P(x)

Where here we have:

For all the values of x,   P(x)  ∨ ¬P(x)

2. A painting is sold for $1,400, and its value
Alla [95]

Answer:

$11,480

Step-by-step explanation:

1,400 x 0.9 = 1,260

1,260 x 8 = 10,080
