Each one has their own benefits and disadvantages, but I would have to say traditional farming is the better option. With traditional farming there is no need for a extensive knowledge of how to handle farming equipment, the quality of the products were/are better than modern which mainly focuses on quantity, and due to the amount of labor required there would be more jobs available.
