3 + (-4) when you add or multiply or divide here are some things you should remember so you can understand it better

(-)(-) = +

(+)(-)= -

(+)(+)= +

(-)(+)= -

so now that you know this we can work on the equation

since there is a positive and a negative the answer has to be negative number and it automatically turns it to subtraction instead of addition so now its like  this 3 - (-4) so now subtract 3 - 4 which is 1 but since the 4 is a negative then the answer goes to -1

hope i helped i just want to understand it so you can do this on your on next time

goodluck

Find the missing angle measures in the given rhombus.
jeyben [28]

Answer:

(1) = 38\°

(2) = 90\°

(3) = 90\°

(4) = 38\°

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular to each other, so angles (2) and (3) are equal 90°.

To find angle (1), we can use the sum of internal angles in the left triangle with angles 52°, (1), and (2):

52 + (1) + (2) = 180

(1) = 180 - 52 - 90

(1) = 38\°

The diagonals of a rhombus bisects the angles, to the angle next to the angle of 52° is also 52°, then, in the upper triangle, we have:

52 + (4) + 90 = 180

(4) = 38\°

Fiona, Peter and Angad share some sweets in the ratio 4:5:1. Fiona gets 40 sweets. How many sweets are there altogether?
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

100

Step-by-step explanation:

sum the parts of the ratio, 4 + 5 + 1 = 10 parts

Fiona  gets 40 sweets which is 4 parts of the ratio

Divide Fiona's share by 4 to find the value of one part of the ratio

40 ÷ 4 = 10 ← 1 part of the ratio

The total number of sweets is 10 parts , thus

number of sweets in total = 10 × 10 = 100
