First you multiply 5 by 2 to get 10 because 2 1/5 is and improper fraction then add that 10 to the numerator so that you have 11/5 then do the same to 1 3/4. multiply 1 by 4 and add that to the numerator making 7/4. After this step you have to find a common denominator between the 2 fractions. To do this it is easiest to multiply the 2 denominators by each other.
4•5 this gets 20 so the common denominator between the 2 fractions is 20.
now the fractions are 11/20 and 7/20
now take the numerator of the first fraction 11/20 and multiply it by the same number you multiplied the denominator by which is 4 this gets you 44/20 which is equivalent or equal to the original fraction 11/5.
next take the second fraction 7/20 and do the same only by 5 because you multiplied the denominator by 5 to get 20. this gets you 35/20 which is equal to 7/4.
finally to add the w fractions you have a common denominator so you just add the 2 top numbers together.
35/20+44/20 which gets you 79/20.
To put the numbers back into an improper fraction just see how many times the bottom number can go into the top number and what is left put on top of 20.
20 goes into 79 3 times and there is 19 left over so the final answer should be
3 19/20

Step 1: make sure the denominators are the same. step 2: add the numerators, put the answer over the denominator of course to make a fraction. step 3: simplify if needed. If you need me to explain more text me.

Which of these is most likely a pair of independent variables? a person’s income and savings the price of steel and the price of
Vikki [24]
Independent variables are things that can stand alone. Which set of these variables does not rely on each other?  For example the income and savings. I want 1,000,000 in my savings account, however my income is not nearly that high since I only make 19,000. Look at the other pairs and see if there is a correlation between them.

There are 25 students in Laura's class, and 21 of the students went on the class trip to the zoo. What percentage of students we
BlackZzzverrR [31]
Since there are 25 students and there’s 21 at the zoo you would end up having 21 out of 25 and 21 out of 25 as a percentage is 84% because you have to look at 25 as a whole and that whole would be 100% so 84 out of 100% is equal to 21 out of 25

Answer:

1 unit = 3 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that 4 units = 12 inches.
