Answer:

7.52%

Explanation:

First and foremost ,the yield to maturity on the old issue is computed using the rate formula in excel as calculated below:

=rate(nper,pmt,-pv,fv)

the nper is the number of times the bond would pay annual coupon interest of $106,which is 20 times

pmt is the amount of annual coupon payment which is $106

pv is the current price of the bond at $860

fv is the face value of the bond at $1000

=rate(20,106,-860,1000)=12.54%

The yield to maturity on the new issue is 12.54%  as well

after-tax cost of debt=pretax cost of debt*(1-t)

pretax cost of debt is yield to maturity of 12.54%

t is the tax rate of 40% or 0.4

after-tax cost of debt=12.54% *(1-0.4)=7.52%

rodikova [14]

Answer:

OBJECTIVE AND TASK BUDGETING.

Explanation:

Objective and task budgeting is an effective budgeting strategy which considers the firm’s overall promotional objectives. The budgeting is then done according to the requirements for meeting these goals.

By running television ads and a social media campaign, the marketing manager has created a means to meet his objective or goal which is to improve market share for his paper plates by 2 percent in the coming year. He then proceeds to price how much the advertising would cost him and then sets the budget. This budgeting is done by OBJECTIVE AND TASK BUDGETING. This allows the marketing manager to allocate a certain amount of money to its marketing budget based on his objectives, rather than choosing an arbitrary amount.

Tom [10]

Answer:

Future value is $ 6,944.52.

Calculation:

Year 9 of a $2,000 deposit in year 1

This can be calculated using compounding formula given below.

Year 9 value = present value (1+I%)^period

Year 9 value = 2,000 (1+10%)^8

Year 9 value = $ 4,287.18-A

$1,500 deposit at the end of year 3

This can also be calculated using compounding formula given below.

Year 9 value = present value (1+I%)^period

Year 9 value = 1,500 (1+10%)^6

Year 9 value = $ 2,657.34-B

Combined Value = A+B = $ 6,944.52
