Answer:

7.52%

Explanation:

First and foremost ,the yield to maturity on the old issue is computed using the rate formula in excel as calculated below:

=rate(nper,pmt,-pv,fv)

the nper is the number of times the bond would pay annual coupon interest of $106,which is 20 times

pmt is the amount of annual coupon payment which is $106

pv is the current price of the bond at $860

fv is the face value of the bond at $1000

=rate(20,106,-860,1000)=12.54%

The yield to maturity on the new issue is 12.54% as well

after-tax cost of debt=pretax cost of debt*(1-t)

pretax cost of debt is yield to maturity of 12.54%

t is the tax rate of 40% or 0.4

after-tax cost of debt=12.54% *(1-0.4)=7.52%

Lilit [14]

Answer:

Serge purchases the Bobcat due to its _______.

brand equity.

Explanation:

We are considering Serge's preference for Bobcat skid steer machine based on some perceived values. These values can be described as the brand equity. The Bobcat's brand equity represents the commercial value which customers derive from Bobcat's skid steer when compared with the products of Bobcat competitors. Purchasing a Bobcat skid steer makes Serge to feel that he has received enough value notwithstanding the more expensive price he pays vis-a-vis choosing the alternatives offered by Bobcat's competitors. In the equity value, Serge has included the "variety of add-on products that extend the usefulness of the skid steer, a great warranty, and a competitive price."

strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

NPV= 5,493.79

Explanation:

To calculate the net present value (NPV), we need to use the following formula:

NPV= -Io + ∑[Cf/(1+i)^n]

Cf1= 18,708 / 1.09= 17,163.30

Cf2= 21,200 / 1.09^2= 17,843.62

Cf3= 17,800 / 1.09^3= 13,744.87

∑[Cf/(1+i)^n]= $48,751.79

NPV= -43,258 + 48,751.79

NPV= $5,493.79
