Let the width be x
Width = x
Length = 2x - 3

Perimeter = 2 ( Length + Width) = 2 ( x+ 2x - 3) = 2(3x - 3) = 6x - 6

Given that the Perimeter is 42 feet,

6x - 6 = 42
6x = 42 + 6
6x = 48
x = 8

Width = x = 8 feet
Length = 2x -3 = 2(8) - 3 = 13 feet

Answer: The length is 13 feet.

Mama L [17]
If number of nickel = n
number of dimes = 3n
number of quarters = 2n

Amount of nickel = 5n
Amount of dimes = 30n
Amount of quaters = 50n

Total Amount = <span>5n + 30n + 50n = 510

What is the difference between certain and impossible?.
kaheart [24]
Certain events have a 100% probability of occurring, and impossible events have a 0% chance of occurring.

Theoretical probability is based on a mathematical estimate, whereas experimental probability is a probability determined based off of an experiment.

Water runs from a pump at a rate of 0.5 gallons per minute. At this rate, how long would it take to fill a tub with a 150-gallon
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

300 min or 5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

so if it pumps 0.5 gallons per minute than in 2 minutes it would pump 1 whole gallon so with that we know 1gallon=2 minutes.

so with that we multipy both sides by 150 which will be 150 galons=300 minutes or 5 hours

Answer:

x=40/9

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{x}{16}  =  \frac{10}{36}  |first \: you \: cross \: multiply|  \\ x(36) = 16(10)  |open \: bracket  |  \\ 36x = 160 |divide \: both  \: side \:by \: 36 |  \\  \frac{36x}{36}  =  \frac{160}{36}  \\ x = \frac{40}{9}
