The angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.  That's the same sum as a linear pair, which we get when two lines cross.

1. 180 - 65 - 45 = 70

Answer: 70°

2. 180 - 90 - 35 = 55

Answer: 55°

3. 180 - 120 = 180 - 50 - x

x = 70

Answer: 70°

Find four consecutive even integers such that seven times the first exceeds their sum by 18.
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

10, 12, 14, 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Four consecutive even integers such that seven times the first exceeds their sum by 18.

Lets assume the first number be "x".

As it is even integers

∴ Second consecutive number will be (x+2)

Third consecutive number will be (x+4)

Fourth consecutive number will be (x+6)

Now, as given seven times the first exceeds their sum by 18.

∴ [x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)]+18 = 7x

solving the equation to find the number.

⇒ [x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)]+18 = 7x

Opening parenthesis

x+x+2+x+4+x+6+18 = 7x

⇒ 4x+30= 7x

subtracting both side by 4x

⇒ 30= 3x

Dividing both side by 3

∴ x= 10.

Hence, subtituting the value x to find four consecutive even integers.

  First number is 10

Second consecutive number will be (10+2) = 12

Third consecutive number will be (10+4)= 14

Fourth consecutive number will be (10+6) = 16

∴ Four consecutive even integers are 10,12,14,16.

The prisms and two nets shown below:<br><br> Plzzz answer part A B and C for BRILLIANT ANSWER
Arlecino [84]
Part A: Net A is correct
Net B is incorrect because de triangular sides do not close the opening left in both sides.

Part B: AB=3 in., BC=5in., CD=8.6in.

Part C: The surface area of the prism is the area of the the big rectangle in the net + the area of the 2 triangles

Area of the big rectangle
8.6• ( 3+4+5)= 103.2 in ^2
Area of the triangles
If we get the 2 trangles together along their longest side we get another rectangle
3•4 =12 in^2

Surface area of prism is 103.2+12=115.2 in^2

Does the table represent a function if the input is 1,2,3,4 and the output is 3,6,11,18?
skelet666 [1.2K]
Yes..it does. To be a function, all the inputs (x's) have to be different numbers...there can be no repeating x's...there can be repeating outputs (y's)...just not the x's
