The tallest free-standing tower in the world is the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada. The tower includes a rotating restaurant high a
tatiyna

Answer:

(a)1815 feet

(b)665 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)From the diagram, we want to determine the height CN of the tower.

Tan \theta =\frac{Opposite}{Adjacent} \\Tan 74.6 =\frac{|CN|}{500} \\|CN|=500 X Tan 74.6=1815.24 feet

  • The CN tower is 1815 feet tall.

(b)To determine how far below the pinnacle of the tower the restaurant is located. We are to determine the distance RN.

|CR|+|RN|=|CN|

First, we determine |CR|

Tan \theta =\frac{Opposite}{Adjacent} \\Tan 66.5 =\frac{|CR|}{500} \\|CR|=500 X Tan 66.5=1149.92 feet

|CR|+|RN|=|CN|

|RN|=|CN|-|CR|=1815-1150=665 feet

The restaurant is located 665 feet below the pinnacle of the tower.

If one gallon of paint covers 350 square feet, will 8 gallons of paint be enough to paint the inside and outside of the fence sh
zmey [24]
350x8=2800, that's how much paint there is. In order to find the surface area of the fence, you just have to find the perimeter of the fence. so you do 45+60+45+60=220. and you have to multiply that by 6 because that is the height of the fence, which is 1320. Then you have to multiply that by 2 because you want to paint both sides of it right? so that's 2640. 2640<2880. So you can paint it with 8 gallons of pain. sorry it took me so long to understand.
Hope this helps you
