Given

Mass of K2O2 = 1.0 g

Molar mass of K2O2 = 110.0 g/mol

Calculate the # moles of K2O2

# moles = mass of K2O2/molar mass

            = 1.0 g/110.0 g.mol-1 = 0.0091 moles

1 mole of K2O2 contains 2*6.023*10^23 atoms of oxygen

Therefore, 0.0091 moles of K2O2 will correspond to:

= 0.0091 moles * 2* 6.023*10^23 atoms/1 mole

= 1.096 * 10^24 atoms of oxygen

ololo11 [35]

Answer: Mixture

Explanation:

Element is a pure substance which is composed of atoms of similar elements.

Compound is a pure substance which is made from atoms of different elements combined together in a fixed ratio by mass.

Mixture is a substance which has two or more components which do not combine chemically and do not have any fixed ratio in which they are present. Example: Air which conatins a mixture of N_2, O_2 , Ar and CO_2

Why cant (NaCl) light the bulb until the NaCl is dissolved in water. *
Aneli [31]

Answer:

NaCl will only conduct electricity in solutions

Explanation:

For electrical conduction, free mobile electrons as seen in most metals must be present or ions which are charged particles must be available for solutions and molten substances.

  • Sodium chloride is an ionic compound without free mobile electrons or ions despite being ionic.
  • It will maintain a subtle and unique charge stability when in solid form.
  • In solid, the ions are not free to move and remain locked up in the solid mass.
  • When introduced into a solution, the ions becomes free to move and this will aid electrical conduction.
