Answer: C   y= -3/2x + 11

Step-by-step explanation:

   So you  have to know the parallel lines have the same slopes but different y- intercepts.   so we will use the same slopes but we will calculate the y -intercept.

in the points (4,5)  5 is the y value and 4 is the x value. and we will plot it into the formula  y=mx + b  where m  is the  slope and we already know the slope is -3/2  but we need to find the y intercept.

5 =  -3/2(4)  + b

5=  -6 + b

+6    +6

b= 11    so now we know the y intercept is 11  so the equation will be               y= -3/2x + 11

Since an instant replay system for tennis was introduced at a major tournament, men challenged 1406 referee calls, with the re
erastova [34]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a test of 2 population proportions. Let 1 and 2 be the subscript for men and women players. The population proportions of men and women challenges for calls would be p1 and p2

P1 - P2 = difference in the proportion of men and women challenges for calls.

The null hypothesis is

H0 : p1 = p2

p1 - p2 = 0

The alternative hypothesis is

Ha : p1 ≠ p2

p1 - p2 ≠ 0

it is a two tailed test

Sample proportion = x/n

Where

x represents number of success(number of complaints)

n represents number of samples

For old dough

x1 = 416

n1 = 1406

P1 = 416/1406 = 0.3

For new dough,

x2 = 217

n2 = 778

P2 = 217/778 = 0.28

The pooled proportion, pc is

pc = (x1 + x2)/(n1 + n2)

pc = (416 + 217)/(1406 + 778) = 0.29

1 - pc = 1 - 0.29 = 0.71

z = (P1 - P2)/√pc(1 - pc)(1/n1 + 1/n2)

z = (0.3 - 0.28)/√(0.29)(0.71)(1/1406 + 1/778) = 0.02/√0.00553857907

z = 0.99

Since it is a two tailed test, the curve is symmetrical. We will look at the area in both tails. Since it is showing in one tail only, we would double the area

From the normal distribution table, the area below the test z score to the left of 0.99 is 1 - 0.84 = 0.16

We would double this area to include the area in the left tail of z = - 0.99 Thus

p = 0.16 × 2 = 0.32

Since 0.1 < 0.5, we would accept the null hypothesis.

p value = 0.337

Since 0.05 < 0.32, we would accept the null hypothesis

Using the binomial theorem , obtain the expansion of :
andrezito [222]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Expand both factors and collect like term

Using Pascal' triangle with n = 6 to obtain the coefficients

1  6  15  20  15  6  1

Decreasing powers of 1 from 1^{6} to 1^{0}

Increasing powers of 3x from (3x)^{0} to (3x)^{6}

1+3x)^{6}

= 1.1^{6}(3x)^{0} + 6.1^{5}(3x)^{1} + 15.1^{4}(3x)^{2} + 20.1^{3}(3x)^{3} + 15.1²(3x)^{4} + 6.1^{1}(3x)^{5} + 1.1^{0}(3x)^{6}

= 1 + 18x + 135x² + 540x³ + 1215x^{4} + 1458x^{5} + 729x^{6}

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(1-3x)^{6}

= 1.1^{6}(-3x)^{0} + 6.1^{5}(-3x)^{1} + 15.1^{4}(-3x)^{2} + 20.1^{3}(-3x)^{3} + 15.1²(-3x)^{4} + 6.1^{1}(-3x)^{5} + 1.1^{0}(-3x)^{6}

= 1 - 18x + 135x² - 540x³ + 1215x^{4} - 1458x^{5} + 729x^{6}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Collecting like terms from both expressions

(1+3x)^{6} + (1-3x)^{6}

= 2 + 270x² + 2430x^{4} + 1458x^{6}

----------------------------------------------------

(2)

Using Pascal's triangle with n = 5

1  5  10  10  5  1

Decreasing powers of 1 from 1^{5} to 1^{0}

Increasing powers of 2x from (2x)^{0} to (2x)^{5}

(1+2x)^{5}

= 1.1^{5}(2x)^{0} + 5.1^{4}(2x)^{1} + 10.1^{3}(2x)^{2} + 10.1^{2}(2x)^{3} + 5.1^{1}(2x)^{4}+ 1.1^{0}(2x)^{5}

= 1 + 10x + 40x² + 80x³ + 80x^{4} + 32x^{5}
