If quadrilateral JKLM was dilated with scale factor 1/2 and center of dilation at origin to form quadrilateral J'K'L'M', then when you dilate quadrilateral J'K'L'M' with scale factor 2 and center of dilation at origin, you obtain quadrilateral JKLM.

The coordinates of quadrilateral J'K'L'M' are:

J'(0,-2), K'(3,2), L'(6,-2) and M'(3,-6).

Then the coordinates of quadrilateral JKLM are:

J(0,-4), K(6,4), L(12,-4) and M(6,-12).

Answer: correct choice is A: J(0,-4).

If we look at where it is now, we would have multiplied the x and y values by 1/2. since we are working backwards, lets multiply by 2 instead...giving us the vertex for the pre-image....

J is now (0, -2)      multiply by 2
J was     (0, -4)

. Find the value or values of x in the quadratic equation x2 = 6x – 9. A. x = 9 B. x = 3 C. x = –3, x = 2 D. x = 0, x = 1 Mark f
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

  B.  x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation can be rearranged to ...

  x² -6x +9 = 0

  (x -3)² = 0 . . . .show as the square it is

  x -3 = 0 . . . . . take the square root*

  x = 3 . . . . . . . . add 3

___

* If the root were non-zero, there would be two of them: ±√( ). That would give rise to two possible values of x. That is not the case here, so there is only one solution.

_____

In the attached graph, the red curve represents the left side of the equation. The blue line represents the right side. They are equal at the one point where they intersect: (3, 9). That means when x=3, the equation becomes 9=9.

!!PLEASE THIS IS A QUIZ I NEED HELP PLEASE!! Which statement about the system of equations y=3x+ 9 and y=3x- 4 is true?
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

The system of the equation has no solution

Step-by-step explanation:

Step: Solvey=3x+9for y:

y=3x+9

Step: Substitute3x+9foryiny=3x−4:

y=3x−4

3x+9=3x−4

3x+9+−3x=3x−4+−3x(Add -3x to both sides)

9=−4

9+−9=−4+−9(Add -9 to both sides)

0=−13

Circle Y is shown. Chords R T and S U intersect. Arc R S is 106 degrees. The angle that intercepts arc R S is 94 degrees.
Grace [21]

Given:

Consider the below figure attached with this question.

In Circle Y, Chords R T and S U intersect.

Arc RS is 106 degrees.

The angle that intercepts arc RS is 94 degrees.

To find:

The measure of arc(TU).

Solution:

If two chords intersect each other insider the circle, then the half of sum of intercepted arcs is equal to the angle on intersection of those arcs.

For the given problem,

\dfrac{1}{2}[m(arc RS)+m(arc TU)]=94^\circ

\dfrac{1}{2}[106^\circ+m(arc TU)]=94^\circ

106^\circ+m(arc TU)=2\times 94^\circ

106^\circ+m(arc TU)=188^\circ

m(arc TU)=188^\circ-106^\circ

m(arc TU)=82^\circ

The measure of arc(TU) is 82 degrees.

Therefore, the correct option is A.
