The length of the line segment joining the midpoints of sides AB and BC of the parallelogram ABCD is 10. Find the length of diag
solniwko [45]

Answer:

The length of the diagonal AC=20 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

From ΔOBP and ΔABC, we have

\frac{OB}{AB}=\frac{BP}{BC}( O and P are mid points)

∠B=∠B(Common)

Therefore, by SAS rule,

ΔOBP is similar toΔABC

Thus, \frac{OB}{AB}=\frac{OB}{2OB}=\frac{1}{2}

⇒\frac{OP}{AC}=\frac{1}{2}

⇒AC=2{\times}OP

⇒AC=2{\times}10

⇒AC=20 cm

Thus, the length of the diagonal AC=20 cm.

Can someone, help. I'm so confused
Lena [83]
Okay, so it basically means you're subtracting.
I'm going to give some examples of what the answer could be.

1. 5 - 5 = 0
2. 5 - 4 = 1
3. 5 - 3 = 2
4. 5 - 2 = 3
5. 5 - 1 = 4
6. 5 - 0 = 5

Or of course if you feel you would like to switch the order of the problems, go ahead and try that, but no matter what happens, make sure the addition version always equal 5, so just be careful :)

Papessa [141]

Answer:

87.08% percentage of families spend more than $4000 annually on food and drink

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

average annual expenditure on food and drink for all families is $5700

Mean  (\nu) = 5700

standard deviation (\sigma ) = 1500

Let X be the no of families spend annually on food and drink

percentage of families spend more than $4000 annually on food and drink =

P(X > 4000)  = P(\frac{X - \nu }{\sigma }> \frac{ 4000 - 5700}{1500})

                      =  P(Z > - 1.13)     Using  (Z = \frac{X - \nu }{\sigma })

                      =  1 - P(Z

                      = 1 - .1292

                      = .8708

                       = 87.08%
