Answer:

RNA polymerase is the main transcription enzyme.

It begins when RNA polymerase binds to a promoter sequence near the beginning of a gene.

It has two stages: transcription and translation.

Answer:

Hope this helps: From the test.

Explanation:

The RNA polymerase and positive transcription factor start the transcription into mRNA. The Ribosomes are necessary to produce a protein.

The longer the length of the transcribed region, the longer the gene (DNA) will be.

This DNA would be eliminated by using one of the two mRNA destroyers. These help to eliminate the gene after it has been produced.

The negative transcription factor works in the regulatory region and it inhibits the RNA polymerase from acting.

There are more than one positive transcription factors in order to get different protein shapes.

Part 2

To maximize the rate of transcription from the gene, there should be a high affinity for both the positive transcription factor and the RNA polymerase. At the same time, the negative transcription factor must have a low affinity for the DNA.

When this happens, there are a lot of positive transcription factors but the RNA polymerase doesn't have a high rate of bonding to the regulatory region to produce a strand of DNA.

In order to minimize the rate of transcription, you should create a low concentration of the positive transcription factor, a low affinity for RNA polymerase, and a high affinity and concentration of the negative transcription factor.

Part 3

The greener the cell, the higher the protein level in the cells.

A.High

B.Low

C.High

D.High

E.Slow

The cells would turn from green to grey because they would not be producing any protein.

Some scientists feel that dinosaurs became extinct when a cloud of dust and gas kept sunlight from penetrating the atmosphere fo
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

Yes, it is a reasonable conclusion.

Explanation:

The long lasting gas that kept sunlight from penetrating the atmosphere was the key factor that promote a disturbance on the chain food. Without sunlight, plants could not produce their own energy, therefore they could not resist to this environment condition and die. That way, the herbivores could not feed and die as well. Also the carnivore could not survive because their supply of food of herbivores are not alive anymore. This scenario would promote a mass extinction of every dinosaur.

Movement of substances that requires the expenditure od atp molecules is called
Umnica [9.8K]

Movement of substances can be classified as active transport of passive transport.

In passive transport movement of substances across the membrane occurs without the expense of ATP. It occurs usually along the concentration gradient i.e., from high concentration to low concentration.

In active transport, movement of substances require energy in the form of ATP because it happens against the concentration gradient i.e. from low concentration to high concentration.

How does lactulose help with hepatic encephalopathy?
galben [10]

Hepatic encephalopathy is a condition seen patients with liver dysfunction and this condition describe a spectrum of reversible neuropsychiatric abnormalities which implies that altered brain function which is due to metabolic abnormalities. However, the administration of lactulose causes reduction in the urea production rate which is consistent with the reduced entry of ammonia into portal blood.
