A rental moving truck can haul a maximum of 7,500 pounds. Dejuan has boxes that weigh 40 pounds and boxes that weigh 75 pounds.

How many of each kind of box can he haul in one load?
If x represents the number of 40-pound boxes and y represents the number of 75-pound boxes, which graph correctly shows the solution to the problem 40x + 75y ≤ 7500?

X, Y graph. X range is negative 300 to 300, and y range is negative 300 to 300. Dashed line on graph has negative slope and runs through 0, 100 and 187.5, 0. Below line is shaded.

Carly's family traveled 3/10 of the distance to her grandmother's house on Saturday. They traveled 3/7 of the remaining distance
polet [3.4K]

Answer:

3/10 of the total distance to her grandmother's house was traveled on Sunday

Step-by-step explanation:

Carly's family traveled distance of Saturday = \frac{3}{10}

Remaining distance =1-\frac{3}{10}=\frac{7}{10}

They traveled 3/7 of the remaining distance on Sunday.

So, Distance traveled on Sunday =\frac{3}{7}(\frac{7}{10})

Distance traveled on Sunday =\frac{3}{10}

Fraction of the total distance to her grandmother's house was traveled on Sunday =\frac{3}{10}

Hence 3/10 of the total distance to her grandmother's house was traveled on Sunday

If a complementary angle measures 24 more than the other what is that angle
Lelu [443]
The definition of a complementary angle is one angle who can be added to another complementary angle to sum to 90 degrees. More simply, just an angle is complementary to another angle if they add up to 90 degrees. In this case, to find the other angle, you subtract 24 from 90 which equals 66 degrees.

Please help with the question
Artyom0805 [142]

I find it convenient to look at the differences and the rate at which those differences are made up.

8. Jim is closing the $150 gap at the rate of $7.50 per week. He will catch up in

... 150/(7.5/week) = 20 weeks

9. At noon, the price of Stock A has increased by 0.05×3 = 0.15, so is now $15.90, which is $0.63 more than Stock B at that time. The prices are closing the gap at the rate of $0.05 +0.13 = $0.18 per hour, so will be the same after

... $0.63/($0.18/hour) = 3.5 hours . . . . after noon, at 3:30 pm

_____

You can also write and solve equations for the prices of the stocks. Or you can use a graphing calculator to tell you the solution. When equations are involved, I like to solve them the simplest possible way: let technology do it.

You are given the value at a time, and the rate of change of that value, so the equations are easily written in point-slope form. You will note that the common price at 3:30 pm (15.5 hours after midnight) is one that is not a whole number of cents. (That's usually OK for when trading stocks.)

Can a triangle have side lengths 4, 4, 7? <br> 1.no <br> 2. Yes <br> 3. not enough information
Marina CMI [18]
Yes! The lengths of each side must be less than the sum of the other two lengths. It looks like this:
4+4>7
7+4>4
4+7>4
