Elbow dysplasia is an inherited developmental abnormality that affects the elbow joint of dogs. It is accepted that the offspring of <span>a </span>dog<span> with the condition are likely </span><span>to develop the condition themselves. Therefore, the likely answer is:  '</span>It has low diversity in its genes'. Even though the dog is a mixed breed, it is possible that one or both parents carried the gene for a predisposition to elbow dysplasia.

If a red-flowering plant was crossed with a white-flowering plant what would the phenotypes of the offspring be?
dem82 [27]
Well if both are dominate colors the phenotype of the offsprings would be pink or spotted. if the red flowering plant was dominate and the white flowering plant is recessive then the phenotype would be 100% red, they would just be the carrier of the white color. if the white flower is dominate and the red is recessive the flowers phenotype would be 100% white, but be carriers of the red color.

AysviL [449]

Answer:

An individual can be placed or classified into a particular species depending on the concept a scientist has considered,

The three most prominent are Biological, morphological and phylogenetic species concept.

1. Biological species concept- Individuals that can interbreed naturally are placed into the same species. Therefore, Biological  species concept, not applicable for extinct species

2. Morphological - Relies on similarities in structure

This species concept places individuals having similar body structures into the same species. It can be easily applied to asexual and extinct species.

3. Phylogenetic - Based on evolutionary history

Species are classified according to a common ancestor.

4. Morphological and Phylogenetic

Accommodates asexual reproduction

Species acceptance criteria can be subjective

5. Morphological, Phylogenetic, and Biological

Used by scientists in classification

All the three concepts are used for classification.
