The dimensions are 120 ft by 180 ft.

Let L be the length.  We know that L is 60 feet more than the width, or w+60=L.

We know that the perimeter is given by 2w+2L; in this case, we have 2w+2(w+60) = 600

Using the distributive property, we have
2w+2*w+2*60 = 600
2w+2w+120 = 600

Combining like terms,
4w+120=600

Subtract 120 from both sides:
4w+120-120 = 600-120
4w = 480

Divide both sides by 4:
4w/4 = 480/4
w=120

The width is 120; the length will be 120+60 = 180

1st serving: 2/3 * 1/2 = 2/6 or 1/3
2nd serving: 1/3 * 1/2 = 1/6
3rd serving: 1/6 * 1/2 = 1/12
4th serving: 1/12 * 1/2 = 1/24
5th serving: 1/24 * 1/2 = 1/48

1/3 + 1/6 + 1/12 + 1/24 + 1/48
1/3 * 16/16 = 16/48
1/6 * 8/8 = 8/48
1/12 * 4/4 = 4/48
1/24 * 2/2 = 2/48
1/48 * 1/1 = 1/48

16/48 + 8/48 + 4/48 + 2/48 + 1/48 = 31/48

Bobby ate 31/48 of the cake in total.

What is the volume of the oblique cylinder rounded to the nearest cm^3?
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer: 32009355.90cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula: V=Bh\\

Since the base is a circumference, we can replace B for the area of a circumference formula.

V=\pi r^2h

What we have here is 12 ft as the diameter of the circumference. A diameter is twice the radius, therefore we can conclude that if we take the diameter and divide it by 2, it will give us the radius.

12/2=6ft this is the radius.

Now plug all this information into your formula.

V=(3.14)(6ft)^2(10ft)\\V=(3.14)(36ft^2)(10ft)\\V=1130.40ft^3

Our values are in feet but the question requires cm. Let's convert from ft^3 to cm^3.

Normally, our conversion factors are raised to the power of 1, but in this case it's raised to the power of 3. So, first let's see how many cm are 1 ft.

1ft=30.48cm

Here is where magic comes. We can raise both to the power of 3, in order to find the cubic ft and cm that we need as our conversion factors.

(1ft)^3=(30.48cm)^3\\1ft^3=28316.8cm^3

Now we have our conversion factors.

1130.40ft^3(\frac{28316.84cm^3}{1ft^3})=32009355.90cm^3
