ivolga24 [154]

According to the graph, almost as many deaths occurred in the Civil War compared to other U.S. wars combined. In fact, there were approximately 655.000 deaths in the Civil War (between both sides), and almost 700.000 in all the other U.S. war added together. Define the term "Renaissance," and explain why that period in Western history is referred to as such. Identify some of the major
Marina CMI [18]

"Renaissance" means rebirth. The term refers to how intellectuals, scientists and artists between the 14th and 16th centuries brought back classic Greece and Roman works and a rationalist thinking.

The term is used to remark the difference between the Renaissance times and its immediate previous period, the Middle Ages, which the users of the term Renaissance believe was dark and unfruitful for critical and scientifical thinking.

Three major figures of the Renaissance were:

Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519). He was a painter, scientist, architect, sculptor, botanist and much more. His many interests show why he is so representative of the Renaissance: he wanted to understand the world and the human being in all its possible dimensions, and he tried so by trying to go beyond the knowledge and methods utilized in his time. He left many works of art, like the Mona Lisa (c. 1503), and contributed scientific investigation.

Niccolo Machiavelli (1469-1527). He wrote The Prince, the book that founded political science. In this book, politics operate in a realm of its own, detached from moral and religion, something new by then. The prince served to the perception that politics was a field of human action, not of divine action.

Michelangelo (1475-1564). He was an architect, painter, and sculptor. He is most known for the ceiling of the St. Peter's Basilica (1546-1564), remembered by the famous painting where God involved in a form of the human brain touches the hand of Adam, and the sculpture Pietá (1499). He left a legacy of works that influence art until today.

Who has more control on society, the government or social media
atroni [7]

Honestly,I feel that this question has 2 different perspectives.

For the government,in order to garner the citizens' support, they might use different ways to get support, for example, using financial aid schemes or propaganda like during H*tler's Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels by using mass censorship, or using programs such as the H*tler Youth to brainwash children. However, in modern society these methods used by H*tler would not be tolerated as there is social media around to 'cancel' these and make sure these form of acts are eradicated.

For social media, celebrities and prominent figures have support through their fan base. These fans may feel whatever their idols say may be right, however, this might lead to dangerous acts or arguments taking place different celebrities' fan bases and if the celebrities don't step in,it might lead to their downfall or the situation getting our of hand.

Some extra info ^^ :

Joseph Goebbels was a loyal follower of H*tler, after H*tler k*lled himself, Joseph Goebbels could not imagine a world without H*tler so he poisoned his 6 children and k*lled himself and his wife.

This is my own personal opinion btw :))

Hope this helps :]

P.s. Can you mark me as the Branliest? <3
