The Battles of Lexington and Concord happened on April 19th of 1775. On that day British troops were sent to confiscate weapons and were attacked by American militia. The Battles of Lexington and Concord are famous for being “The Shot Heard Around The World” and the battle that started or “ignited” the American Revolutionary War.

The Puritans were protestants that were trying to reform the Protestant religion in England. They were trying to kick out the Catholic influence from the England. So they practically had their own new movement, Puritanism, that was know for it's intensity for the religious experience that it fostered. So all in all, the Puritans were Anglicans.
During the Catholic counter-reformation, the only thing was
not abolished was the papacy. During this time, the Catholic Church had tried
to regain back its believers who have left and converted to Protestantism after
they had heard and read what are some of the wrong doings of some members of
the Church.
Convinced the French to fully support the Americans in the fight against the British. The French proved to be valuable allies as they provided military troops, supplies, etc.
