Need help on a agruement essay 3-4 pages teacher should not be able to carry a gun in school and should teacher be able to carry
Sati [7]

Answer:

Under no means should a teacher need to carry a gun.  It is already illegal in many states to possess a gun within more than 1000+ ft. from any school.  The thought of being safe or cautious is factored out because in turn they too are now deemed unsafe. It clearly violates the 'Gun-free Zone' policy.

Who is riding in the carriage with the speaker in Emily Dickinson’s poem “712” (“because I could not step for death”)
Amanda [17]

Death

In the poem the speaker says, "The Carriage held but just Ourselves – " At the very beginning of the poem the speaker personifies Death. When she says, "Because I could not stop for Death - He kindly stopped for me". This idea that Death stops for the speaker, personifies Death and makes him a character in the poem. This means that "Ourselves" refers to the speaker and Death.

Some people have argued that since Death is personified, so is Immortality and therefore Immortality is also riding in the Carriage with the speaker and Death. However, this is not a widely accepted interpretation.

A Thousand Martyrs
kupik [55]

The answer is number 4.The stanzas combine to convey that love is complicated. There is glory and there is pain. There is pleasure and there are wounds. The persona in the poem seems to have had some experience in love affairs and these  stanzas are full of expressions that contradict each other .That is why I think the author is trying to convey how intricate love could be.
