Mainly because it can destroy our lives. Waste is usually thrown into waste pits or places specifically for waste but what happens when there is no more place to put it? It can cause pollution and harm to wild life so if we pay more attention to it and try to stop how much waste is thrown out then maybe the earth will be able to live longer.
