The ratios 3:8 and 4:7 are not proportion. You can tell this easily by how in the second ratio, the first number is one larger, but the second number is 1 lower. If this was proportional, then both numbers would go either up or down depending on the circumstance.

In order to determine whether or not there is a significant difference between the mean hourly wages paid by two companies (of t
dybincka [34]

Test statistic = (mean 1 - mean 2) / sqrt( dev1/n1 + dev2/n2)

Mean 1 = $16.75

mean2 = $16.25

dev1 = $1.00

dev2 = $0.90

n1 = 80

n2 = 60

Test stat = (16.75 - 16.25) / sqrt(1/80 + 0.95/60)

Test stat = 3.01

The answer is B. 3.01

Let u = &lt;-9, 4&gt;, v = &lt;8, -5&gt;. Find u - v. <br> URGENT
Pie

To subtract vectors, you simply have to subtract correspondent coordinates.

So, if you have

u = \langle u_1,\ u_2,\ldots u_n\rangle ,\quad v = \langle v_1,\ v_2,\ldots v_n\rangle

the subtraction is simply

u-v = \langle u_1-v_1,\ u_2-v_2,\ldots u_n-v_n\rangle

So, in your case, we have

\langle-9,4\rangle-\langle 8,-5\rangle=\langle -9-8, 4+5\rangle=\langle -17,9\rangle
