Answer:

On a coordinate plane, a straight line with positive slope goes through points (3, 3) and (4, 4).

Step-by-step explanation:

both points when divided (y÷x) should give the same answer for it to be proportional

meaning

4÷4 = 1 and 3÷3 = 1

Answer:

D. On a coordinate plane, a straight line with positive slope goes through points (3, 3) and (4, 4).

Explanation:

For a relationship to be proportional it needs to meet two conditions:

1) its graph needs to be a straight line

2) every point of the graph needs to satisty the equation y = k•x, or, in other words k has to be equal for every point

Now, let's check the answers;

A) we have two points: A (2, 6) and B (4, 5). For point A, x is 2 and y is 6, so:

y = k•x

6 = k•2

k = 3

For point B, x is 4 and y is 5, so:

y = k•x

5 = k•4

k= 5/4

Since k isn't the same value for these two points, this isn't proprtional relationship.

B) this graph is curve, so since it's not a straight line it can't be proportional relationship.

C) similarly to graph A we have point A (5, 2) and point B (6, 3).

For point A, x is 5 and y is 2, so:

y = k•x

2 = k•5

k = 2/5

For point B, x is 6 and y is 3, so:

y = k•x

3 = k•6

k = 1/2

Again values of k aren't the same, so this isn't a proportional relationship.

D) Point A (3, 3) and point B (4, 4). For point A, x is 3 and y is 3, so:

y = k•x

3 = k•3

k = 1

For point B, x is 4 and y is 4, so:

y = k•x

4 = k•4

k = 1

Since value of k is the same for both points, this graph shows the proportional relationship.

PLZ ANSWER PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP 1 QUESTION!!!
JulsSmile [24]

We first must find the value of angle z.

Angle z = 90° - 42°

Angle z = 48°

We now use the sine function to find y.

sin(48°) = 35/y

y = 35/sin(48°)

y = 47.0971455362

We now round off to two decimal places.

y = 47.10

I hope this helps....

Jesse has 5 and 3/4 dozen eggs. How many eggs does he have.
Leviafan [203]
Ok so lets start with the 5 dozen there are 12 eggs in one dozen so we do 12*5 which gives us 60 and then we figure out what 3/4 of 12 is that sounds confusing the way i typed it. an example is make four piles each evenly numbered so four piles of three so take three of those piles which gives you the number nine so 60 + 9 gives you 69 so Jesse has 69 eggs.

Researchers found a linear relationship between tail-feather length (in mm) and weight (in g) in a random sample of 20 male long
Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

As far as I know, this question is not correct. I have the searched the internet and found a similar question which makes sense. In the correct question, 95% Confidence Interval is already given calculated from the software and

95% prediction interval is asked (PI) for the weight of one male long tailed finch weighing 20 g.

We have this data given in the correct question found on internet. And they have calculated this data using software:

New Obs = 20

Fit = 92.34

SE Fit = 5.26

95% Confidence Interval = (81.29, 103.38)

95% Prediction Interval = (67.61, 117.06)

Now, Just look at the prediction interval:

Now the formula for Prediction Interval = Point Estimate ± Margin of Error

Upper limit for prediction interval = 117.06

lower limit = 67.61

Formula for point estimate = (Upper + Lower)/2

Point Estimate = (117.06 + 67.61)/2

Point Estimate = 92.34

Formula for margin of error = (Upper - Lower)/2

Margin of Error = (117.06 - 67.61)/2

Margin of Error = 24.72

Formula for Prediction Interval = Point Estimate ± Margin of Error

PI = 92.34 ± 24.72
