4 0

Answer:

4 x 3 = 12, 12 x 1/2 = 6

6(area of one triangle) x 4(there are 4 sides) = 24

4 x 4 = 16(area of bottom)

Add given areas:

24 + 16 = 40

A circle of radius of 4 inches has an arc length of 5.8 inches. Find the measure of the central angle.
kondor19780726 [428]
<h3>SOLUTION : </h3>

The radius of the circle is 4 inch and has an arc length of 5.8 inches . We know that if the central angle is 360° then the arc length is 2\pi r . Similarly when angle is theta ,

\implies Arc = radius \times \theta

Now substitute respective values , from the given data ,

\implies 5.8 inch = 4inch * \theta \\\\\implies 0.14 m = 0.1 * \theta \\\\\implies \boxed{\red{\theta \approx 1.4 \ rad }}

This is our required answer!

Verify the identity. Show your work. cos(α - β) - cos(α + β) = 2 sin α sin β

\bf \textit{Sum and Difference Identities}&#10;\\\\&#10;cos(\alpha + \beta)= cos(\alpha)cos(\beta)- sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)&#10;\\\\&#10;cos(\alpha - \beta)= cos(\alpha)cos(\beta) + sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)\\\\&#10;-------------------------------

\bf {cos(\alpha - \beta)-cos(\alpha+\beta)}=2sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\stackrel{\textit{left-hand-side}}{[cos(\alpha)cos(\beta) + sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)]-[cos(\alpha)cos(\beta)- sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)]}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\underline{cos(\alpha)cos(\beta)} + sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)-\underline{cos(\alpha)cos(\beta)} + sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)&#10;\\\\\\&#10;sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)+ sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)\implies 2 sin(\alpha)sin(\beta)
